they were popular in England from the 20s through the 30s. Reverse painted glass ones were done in more mass production, but the watercolors with the wings on top of the paint (versus showing through the reverse paint) are more rare and 1 of a kind.. i love the seamstresses and interiors. i watch for them but they rarely turn up.
